I just want to extend a big hello to everyone here at ft. I was looking for a website that could give a 'workout for dummies' program and I think I have found the best. I have not stuck to any exercise program since high school so excuse some of my common sense questions but here I go

1 - I am currently going into the 3rd week of the home exercise program. At first I was sore the days after the workout but that has stopped. I do feel it during and after the workout. Should I try to increase the reps or sets of each exercise or is it normal to not be sore the day after

2 - I have noticed that I should not eat until after the work out. How long after would be best?

3 - I have no weights or bench to speak and do not see any in the near future. I do use a chest flexor for my curls. Is a chest flexor ok to use and if so, are there any other exercises that I can do with it

I warned everyone that I was full of questions.

My husband works out alot, and he takes a banana to his work out, and as soon as he has finished he eats the banana and then as soon as he gets home he eats an hi-protein shake, I have always read that you should eat as soon as you finish working out, if any body else has any other ideas please share them.....

Hi, Atiger, I think you can eat before you workout, but give an hour or two before starting your workout. It is normal to not feel sore after a workout. I too, am doing the home workout and i have increase my reps to get the burn and the soreness. That is telling me that i am working the muscles. I have a set of Tubes that I use and I also do the exercise routine I get from here. I am on my fifth week and i feel tighter all over. I am tall and thin but i think i made some gains. Keep in touch.
