Im a newbie here. Short story. Broke hip gained 150lbs.( lots of beer and junk food, dont drink either anymore) 2 years ago. Lost 60 of it and been stuck at 270 for about a year know. Been to doctor lab work ok. He says its my diet. I cant figure it out I dont eat breakfeast maybe have a couple of ham on wheat sanwiches for lunch with a couple of apples(I like apples) and then a basic dinner. I do cardio 5 times a week for about 30-40 mins and lift weight just to keep muscles flexible. I have been gifted with good genetics I have always been quite muscular, BUT I"M FAT NOW. I think the doctor is right if I got my diet in order it may all come together. So my qustion is more or less cardio, more or less weight and how should I eat (never had to worry about what I ate, guess my metabolism just died when I broke my hip).

It is your diet! No Breakfast and only ham sandwhiches and apples? You need to do 2 things one is do a search here on diet many many posts on this. Second thing is to eat! Yes eat to lose fat. One thing you have done is slow your metabloism down by eating that way. Eat 1-1.5 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight. Like I said do a search. But eat at least 2200-2500 cals a day split into 5-6 meals (small meals heavy in the protein and good carbs!). Drink a lot of water drop the cardio to 3 times a week add to the eights and you should see some imporvement soon! Like I said search some of the posts here and good luck!
