I am so new at losing weight the right way. My question is do u eat before you exercise or after. Plus I go not know how many calories I need to lose weight. I weight 186 lbs and would love to get back to 125 lbs.

Hi Lori. Welcome to FT. The answer to your question varies. I wait to eat a couple of days a week until after I do my cardiac workout. But it's not a bad idea to eat a small carb loaded meal before and take in a bit of protein after. Look for and join the challenge group here. We just started Monday and it runs for 2 months. There will be a great deal of discussion about the types of questions you're asking. Hopefully this wont be just a diet/weight loss thing for you but rather a lifestyle change.
