Hey all...i'm finally getting back into weight lifting. I'm not trying to get all big & huge...i'm just trying to get tone.

I've been reading about workouts & trying to figure out my best route. I plan on working out 3 times a week. I'm going to hit my triceps, biceps, back, shoulders, chest, & shoulders.

My question for you is what's my best route? Should I do a total boby workout each time at the gym where I hit all of those muscles above. One set for each muscle.

Or should I focus on 2 or 3 of those muscles each workout.

Thanks for the help!!!

Enter in your fitness information in FT, choose mass and strength training and FT will put together a workout plan for you. Just an FYI though, it will give you exercises for your lower body also. You can choose to have additional exercises for the upperbody, but you really need to include the lower body. Otherwise you will look like a balloon! :)

Getting "tone" means burning the layers of fat that cover the muscle.

Total body workout would be ebst to lose fat. Don't forget legs in your routine as they are the best way to burn fat!!
