So I have been working out for about two years now I have lost 25 lbs. Came from 185 to 160. I am a senior in Highschool and this is where my problem is on getting the proper diet and exercise.

I wake up around 7:00 A.M. and have to be at school by 8:00
which gives me enough time to eat and digest.
I have 5 periods a day, 1st,2nd,4th,5th are 75 minutes long
and my 3rd period which is when lunch is, is 90 minutes long
I eat lunch at 11:55.

I plan to start taking Whey Protein to help in my 5-6 meals a day. The problem is, I dont know when to eat and when not to. I have weights for my first period. So do I take my shake an hour after weights or what? also besides just weights every day, i do some sort of cardio exercise for 45 minutes 3 days a week. i also work mostly after school, but conveniently enough i can still get my 3 days of cardio in on a week. really what I want to do with my body is put on more muscle, but also tone my abs and the rest of my body. If you can help please message me on this!!

Brandon,

Take a shake right after your lifting in first period.

Then another shake or portable meal around 3pm (afterschool) or after cardio.

How much weight do you want to lose? If you are trying to put on muscle, you may want to cut back your cardio to 20 minutes, try HIIT. Thia will keep your cardiovascualr system in shape but not cause as much breakdown (muscle loss or no muscle gain).

More muscle will translate to the 'toned' look, which is really a muscualr, lean body.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help asimmer i appreciate it!

I am going to start up on my protein on monday, recently I have just been preparing for it. So after a few weeks I will let you know if this helps or not. But to answer your question I don't really want to lose a whole lot of weight, i believe where I am at right now 163 lbs so I think if I lose anymore weight it will just look unproportional. Also what is this HIIT you speak of?? I will probably just look through the forums for it, but if you can point it out to me that would be great to.

Thank you once again I never really thought this site would be this great, but it is actually a really great site and the people like you are what make it so great.
