My hb has been having joint stiffness in his hands; he's a musician and I assume it's the repetitive motion that's the problem. Any supplements helpful for this (other than EFAs which I've already recommended)? Sorry, off topic but I thought I'd ask you knowledgeable people. :)

Good fats play a vital role in the joints. He should try some glucosamine (MSM) it seems to work for acute problems.
And then again he can do finger execises.

Glucosamine, with Chondroitin helps the joints, most would come with sulphur. If your hb is allergic to sulphur then you would have to look for non-sulphur based pills.

GNC has some products at http://www.gnc.com/productDetails.asp?id=274932

I would also suggest Vitamin B supplements... it seems to help people with CTS... so it might help your hb as well... most of all, more finger and wrist exercises. It helps me a lot with my CTS.

Great! I'll let him know - btw, what is CTS? What's the reason for the sulfer in the Glocosamine supplements?

Thanks guys!

not sure about why they have sulphur in it... I managed to get myself a non-sulphur bottle of glucosamine - but it's slightly more expensive. If your hb is non-allergic to sulphur then it should be ok.

I think heat packs or cold packs would help as well... or mild massage. He needs to get the blood circulating more in his wrists and fingers.

As far as I know he doesn't have any problems w/ sulfur - He did say he would try warming his hands up better before he plays, hopefully that will help but they are also stiff in the mornings. Thanks grumpybear. :)
