help me to get rid of my bulging belly and excess fat that just doesnt want to budge. my baby is 6 months old now and the weight is still the same. i breast feed for the first 4 months and my weight went down to my pre pregnancy weight but still that was over weight.i stopped breast feeding 2 months ago and in that time ive put on 2 stone which is very depressing. i am determined to loose this weight but i need motivation and alot of energy to exercise but all my energy seems to go to my son and when the time comes to exercise i really couldnt be bothered.if anyone out there has any advice for please help me.

don't worry, it takes at least a year for your body to start going back to normal. My daughter is now 10 months old and i am just now starting to look like i did. you are going to have to do some exercising though. if there is anyway you can access a gym, i would suggest it. even if you have to get someone to watch your son when he is in bed, it willbe good for you not only physically, but also mentally. it is very hard being a mother and that little bit of time alone is all the difference in the world. there are also a lot of exercises that you can do outside of a gym. try pilaties or yoga. you can also access some good workouts right here on this web site. don't worry you will be back to your normal self someday. just eat right and exercise and you should start seeing results soon.
good luck.

I have a 3 year old and still have not lost the weight. If you don't do it now you will be stuck. I was 140 before...179 when my son was born...155 after...then gained back up to 182...lost down to 165 with Hydroxycut and watching my eating... I was dx with Multiple Sclerosis Dec.'04 and with the stress and stuff have gained back to 185. This is a terrible cycle to be on. I am 27 years old and 5'2. I want to lose 50-60 pounds. And fast!

doodersmom....50-60 lbs can be lost...but don't expect it to be fast! Fast lost means fast regain....and sometimes then some....slow and steady wins the race and you will be more likely to have made a lifestyle change thereby keeping it off

Fat loss can be achieved! It takes hard work and dedication though. I have twin boys who are almost two, and I work part-time, and take care of the house/laundry/cooking/husband. When I first started working out, I didn't have the energy. I had to force myself. I lost 4 lbs the first week! Once I got into the groove of things, I found that I started looking foreward to my workouts, and still do. I can take time for me, to think about my day and plan in my head for the next day. And for doodersmom, exercise and healthy eating will only help with your ms. I'm a nurse and I've seen the benefits first hand. Exercise will help to prevent exacerbations (sp)

5-6 healthy snacks diet, and lining up a gym that has a daycare to have some "my" time will really help you take up a new and slimmer lifestyle. good luck.
