Hello all, i'm a newbie, and i'm hoping you can help.

All my life i've been overweight, until about 3 years ago, i started dieting, but didn't really increase my excercise, and to my credit i've lost 120lbs, and i've taken 12 inches off my waist. The problem that i'm having now is that no matter what i do (diet, gym, lotions) i can't seem to tighten up the loose skin from the drastic weight loss. I'm only 27, and i've tightened up quite a bit, but i've leveled off, and now can't get any definition.

Any suggestions?

P.S. i've talked to a friend of mine who is a trainer, he tells me that skin can only contract so much after it is stretched for so long. He suggests bulking up and building into the skin that I have. I'm 27, 5'10", around 155lbs. If anything i'm a little underweight now, but i've been fighting all my life to be thin, and I like the size that I am now, the idea of trying to put weight back on just seems bizarre to me now.

What can I do?

If it has been over a year and a half, your skin most likely has contracted as much as it is going to. you may need skin tucks, many people who have lost a lot of weight find it necessary to get rid of the excess skin.
