I'm looking into doing this 4-week "ultimate detox". I am hoping it will rejuvinate me. Of course, I have to eliminate a lot of things from the diet, incl. caffeine, alcohol, meat etc. My two concerns are as follows:
1. The diet seems quite calorie-prohibitive. I cannot operate on 1000 cals a day, esp. if since I work out (I'm 215-220 now. I wouldn't mind losing some fat, but I'm not trying to get crazy here.) Are there any healthy foods that might help me raise the cals? I know PB or other nut butters are good.
2. Because I can't eat meat or animal products, I cannot consume whey protein (or egg white). What is a good vegan source of protein (I know soy isnt good because of its estrogen etc.)
