Hello People,

I need some help here. I've been on a strict low carb diet for as long as I can remember and I'm ready to try something new. My carb intake has been around 30 to 40 carbs a day. I'm not sure where to start. I do best having a program to follow though. This web site has several suggestions as far as total number of food groups, grams and amounts I can have but that just seems so overwhelming and hard to follow. Can someone help me with an easier way of eating?

The way to incorporate a healthy eating pattern is to gradually increase you carb intake and overall calores. Nothing dramatic at first, maybe adding about 100-200kcal each week until you reach a level that is comfortable. DON'T be afraid of carbs, carbs are very necessary if you are a hard training individual(or just very active). The problem is with overeating period. Don't forget to include veggies, plain oats, barley, and whole grain breads. Fill out your profile and state your goals as well as how your current diet is, this way, everyone can help you out better. Good luck.
