help please...I have no clue what to eat

Hi, I am really really interested in not only knowing what i should be eating for my goals (gain muscle mass, lose fat) but also understand exactly what carbs, calories, protein, and everything else in food actually does to me. Can anyone suggest how i should go about learning all this??? Is there a good book, website, or anything.

I am very serious about getting in better shape, but i lose so much motivation over my diet. I want to eat better, but sometimes I'm afraid I'm not getting the right nutrition to fuel muscle growth, and at the same time I may feel that what I'm eating is just going to lead to more fat on my body. i could really use any help i can get. Thanks a lot, HAPPY NEW YEAR

You can find an abundance of info about all of those things on this site. Start by reading posts in this forum. You can also do a search. A book that helped me with what foods to eliminate and what ones to eat more of is called Eat Right 4 Your Type. Even though I dont follow it as strictly anymore, it helped me a lot. When I did follow it I felt better and was a lot less bloated. You can try checking your library for it. They also have a website. It will take some time, but if you just start reading some of the stuff here you can get some great ideas on how to set up your own eating plan. Good luck.
