Hi all, my first post and im kinda new to the organised fitness training etc so i was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few pointers.

I'm basically looking to initially lose a few lbs (its not a gut!! buts its not a well toned 6-pack either...) and build up some upper body strenth.

I'v been using treadmill last week for about a half an hour a day during the week at wotk and jogging most other nights. Weights wise iv just been doing a few light weights after running but not pushing myself, benchpress and armcurls etc. Any guidlines for a fitness plan?

Thanks for any help guys

redrebel, welcome to FT and hope you find this site useful as many of us have.

Start out by filling in your profile and letting us know a little about yourself, it will help many on here in guiding you in the right direction for your fitness needs.

Next, take advantage of one of the free exercise programs we have available here. You can start at the top of this page by clicking on the link "Exercise Programs". Answer the questions and follow the steps to start your program.

Read the thumbtacked posts in the Beginner's Forum and New Members Forum if you haven't done so already, there is a lot of helpful information in these forums along with all of the rest of the forums on here.

Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions.

The free exercise programs rock, especially if you are just getting started. Stick with it and you will see results.
