I can't do more than one basic pull up. Not chin ups those I can do. Can someone help. I have been working out for a few months and have gotten stronger but can't seem to get those damn pull ups.

Start with the bar low on a smith amchine - then lie on your back and grab the bar with your pull-up grip. tighten up your whole body and pull up, gradually raise the bar.
Or, place a bench under the pull-up bar and work on standing up to the bar, then lowering your body without help - negatives will help build the strength you need.
Every pull-up routine starts with one pull-up. Do one, rest come back and do another. It helps to have a spotter and it helps to try and tighten up your whole body (somehow you feel lighter). Eventually your two pull-ups become three, and eventually you can do them.
You profile is empty, so i don't know if you are male or female - but building up your back and shoulder and arm strength will help you to do pull-ups also.
Good Luck.
