Hi jess...

Welcome to FT... just took a look at your profile... one hundred pounds is very doable... the average weight loss is about two pounds per week. The first bunch of weight will be water weight and you'll lose that quick. So the first few weeks you may see a bigger weight loss early.

Also, bear in mind, muscle is more dense than fat. For instance, one cup of muscle would weigh more than one cup of fat and because of that, at times, you may not be losing any weight and that may be in part because of muscle gain. Don't let that get you down.

Make sure you take a peek in the nutrition section as well and print off the grocery list.

There will be days you falter, but do not worry, we all have them.

You have a great support group and we're all here to help out.

Eat well, exercise and you'll reach your goal!

thanks ....I am having trouble understanding my excercise program. I would like to have cardio along with weight training..do you have any advice?

It's suggested to separate the cardio from the weights.. for example... do your cardio on a day off from weights... or, about six to eight hours apart. This does not mean you shouldn't do some warm up cardio before weights... that should be anywhere from three to ten minutes to warm up the body.
