Hi there... My name is Chris and I'm hoping this site will help me stay on track. I'm a 23 year old single female, 5'8", 265 lbs. I just started really exercing 2 weeks ago, 30 min 4 days/week. I am trying to lose weight not only for health, but my mom's wedding at the end of August. I got my fitness plan (4 days/week) printed for this week and on top of that plan to walk the track at my college for 30 mins. afterwards. Due to my busy schedule I typically eat Lean Cuisine 2x's day, bkf, and 2 snacks of frozen unsweetened fruit and nuts. I go to school 18 hours week plus homework, work 20 hours week (chasing after 5 and 7 year old boys), and volunteer 10 hours week. What is reasonable to expect weight loss wise... That has always been my downfall. If I don't see results imediately, I quit. I am trying to work through it this time, so if anyone has any ideas for me, I would love the help!

Hey Chris,
Welcome aboard. I'm realtively new also, but this site is so amazing with the amounts of information, help/advice and most of all a workout routine that you can see on paper that's planned, precise, and easy! The hardest thing to do is taking that first step out the door to workout. But the results and health are worth it! I've lost 4 pounds in a week and a half just on the beginning of it! If you are truly decided and make up your mind to do this, then you'll find ways to DO IT! Find a workout partner who has some similar goals to help you keep accountable. Look for someone who's actually in the gym, and not someone who you know will bring you back down to your original spot. Who knows, you could make a good, maybe even more...
Good luck!

Welcome to freetrainers Chris.
If you exercise and eat accordingly, you should see a change within 5-7 days. Forget about the scale, you MUST not use one.
What I suggest is to use a tape measure and go by how your clothes fit.
Forget about lean cuisines. Replace it with protein and good carbs. You need to consume real food and not processed.
Check out the "grocery list for healthy eating" and make your choices from thier.
Listen, you didn't get to where you are in 3-6 months. Be patient and you will see the results.
Good luck obtaining your goal.
