Hey guys, i'm 17 years old and a freshman in college. I started working out and losing weight beginngi jan 1st 2005 when i weighed 227 pounds(I'm 5"11-6 ish). After a year of dieting and exercise through biking and DDR, I weigh 157. I am beginning to get a bit alarmed because I understand my peers are in the same wieght and height range around me. But I have noticed that I still have a pot belly.

I have been a vegetarian my entire life. I really would appreciate any help or guidance in losing this pot belly. Thanks a lot guys.

HEY!! That is great, a 70 pound weight loss! I read a good article on being a vegetarian and I know the nutritional area has a lot of info or go to the fitBuddy search below and see what you can come up with, there are many good posts there! The article I read said that many vegetarians feel that they are eating properly BECAUSE they are vegetarian, but that they can have the same difficulties with choosing the right foods and portions as non-vegetarians, it may have been here on FT I read it, anyway, it looks like you have been making some good choices as you have had an incredible weight loss. You may want to add weight lifting to your schedule, FT has a great free program here you can start with, you can't just work on the belly as there is no spot-reducing, but you can continue what you are doing and add some weights to your current program every other day. It will help you build more lean muscle and reduce the fat more so.

Don't mean to sound stupid, but is DDR Dance Dance Revolution? I guess I am out of the loop, lol!

Good luck to you and congrats on the weight loss!
