I started back Last week from a torn rotator from march I would have been back sooner but I was in a car accident in April and it messed my back up pretty good. Thank god for seatbelts. The doctor wants me to stop weights all together but that isn't going to happen. I did squats Wednesday in a smith machine it was hard since I have a normal tendency to lean forward when I squat but no back pain My Fiance wasn't happy seeing me squating but I reassured her that the weigh wasn't going to be as much as it was prior the accident. The thing that sucks is the amount of mass that I lost I now have to put back on but weight wise I only gained 5 pounds. Time to get busy and play catch up.

sanddevil, I broke my leg in Dec of 1999, I was laid up for 17 months during which I lost 32 pounds of mass. You do not lose fat in bed my friend. Those injuries are friggin murderous.

Welcome back, but plese be careful. Don't overdue it, backs are very important. Hope you can gain some of your mass back in a good time period.

A big welcome back to you!! I understand why your fiancée is a little worried. Just show her that everything is in great control and the muscles will actually help you to recover ten times faster.....

Don't overtrain, don't take too heavy, rest, eat your proteins and glutamine and you'll be all fine!
