Alright, at the risk of sounding like a simpleton I'm having a difficult time creating a diet plan that surrounds my workout routine. First some stats: I'm 6 foot 1 and I weigh 215pounds. I jog/run a 8 minute and 25 second mile and I go out for cardio 4 times a week. I want to tone my body and have just purchased a free weight set. After breakfast I go to work. I work out in the afternoon or early evening. My question is what should I have for lunch and most importantly how much do I eat after my workout on days when I just strength train and on days when I do both cardio and strength training. I'd like to get to either 195 or 200 pounds. Sorry too sound a little dumb considering all the info on the internet.

Hi welcome to FT, a very helpful bunch of people here how are very willing to help you out. The first thing you need to do is fill out your profile and as jefado ask you, what types of foods are you eating now. Also this section is basically just to introduce yourself. you might whant to redirect your question to the right area. Try general health and fitness issues, that would be a great place for you start with your questions. It does sound like you are on the right track.
