Hi, I just found this site. I have been working out now since april. I am trying to lose the ole' middle age spread. I have been walking 5 x a week...3 miles (outside) and havie been doing a different variet of things. I have a total body gym that I was using but started to get big arms and chest. I stopped that and tried pilates. I am now doing some pilates and lifting lighter with more reps.

I am noticing a difference but....my diet is the big thing....I've never had to watch what I ate so I am having a hard time with that.

any suggestions????

I am planning on getting the ab lounge..I have trouble with my cervical spine area and get terrible headaches when doing conventional crunches.

5-6 small healthy meals a day versus 3 heavy meals.
3-5 days of cardio sessions in the 30 minute range. You should be good to go from there. You can mix in a 2 day split lifting routine as well. welcome to the forum, and good luck.
