My name's Katie and I'm new! I'm one of those people who isn't really all that overweight but is uncomfortable with her body nonetheless. I have a few spots that I just can't seem to get rid of, and I have a severe lack of motivation and energy that I can hopefully find here!

welcome to free trainers katie, being the king of procrastination, it only took a semi-severe heart problem at the age of 37 to light a fire under my arse. im following the 3D's, Desire, Discipline, dedication to my new lifestyle. I personally have found my biggest hurdle wasnt the 330 pounds or the being tired all the time, it was my depression holding me back, being uncomfortable with my weight and size really put a hamper on eating right and exercising, even if it only a few minutes every day, its a start, and once you start, your bodies going to love you for it by giving you extra energy, helping you sleep better, losing inches and so on, so go on katie, get your not so big butt on the bike, and have fun...

Ah yes, I am the universal queen of procrastination. I've always had the "I'll start my new diet on Monday" issue. Why not today? But as for working out, I've had severe juvenile rheumatoid arthritis since I was seven in most of my joints, but it is most troublesome in my knees. And I have let that keep me from working out entirely instead of finding workouts that can fit around my arthritis. I have gotten to the point where I am so out of shape that I can't get through one full workout, and that intimidates me and makes me feel like it's a hopeless cause. I've always been one of those people who thinks that I have to see immediate results and I get discouraged if they don't happen.

I know that my two biggest hurdles are my being so uncomfortable with my body and my being too lazy to do something about it. That all changes now!
