Hello fellow dieters
I've just joined this site because even though I go to the gym 3 days a week and I usually take care with what I eat (ok, so I make a few mistakes now and then) and despite the fact that I feel like I have more muscle than I did a year ago, I still don't notice a lot of change in terms of 'volume', i.e., dropping sizes on my clothes. So this is getting a bit frustrating... :(

Well cat, you may watch what you eat, but do you count what you eat? Even "healthier" foods can make you gain weight if you are eating too much of them. Counting calories is a pain in the butt, but it's necessary if you want to lose weight. Be mindful of the actual serving sizes as they relate to the listed calorie amounts. Try eating around 9-10 calories per pound of body weight per day.
Also, try mixing it up in the gym. Your body adapts fairly quickly to static routines. Try changing the volume and reps every couple of weeks or so(i.e. lifting heavier with less reps, or lighter with more reps for two or three week blocks). Also, change up the actual lifts that you do(instead of say barbell curls, do dumbbell curls. Same muscle, just a different lift to stimulate it).
