hi my name is heather and am really overweight. i have problems with overeating. actually its a portion control issue i think. i don't always eat bad food i eat plenty of good stuff its just too much of the not so good that is my problem. i have a loving husband who is pretty much physically fit but he has never been overweight like this if he starts to get some chub he goes to the gym and its gone instantly it seems like. i've been going to the gym for nearly 2yrs and nothing! i need help and support from people going through the same stuff i am.

Veggies are a great way to get a full feeling without going overboard on calories. I really like to have a big salad with lunch and dinner as the first part of the meal, then what ever I've prepared second.
One thing that worked really well for me is to have a medium baked potato with my meals. They are fairly low calorie(100-150 calories) and can help give you a full feeling. Just don't load it down with a bunch of cheese, bacon, ect(I just use a little butter substitute and salt). This is good for starters, but you'll want eventually change to as healthy and balanced of a diet as possible.
You should check this site for a good strength training routine, which is possibly what you've been lacking. Anyone can go to the gym, but it's having a program that makes the difference.
Your diet is whats killing you the most here. Even if you have a trainer, and the greatest mindset in the world, all of the sweat still won't make you lose weight with any permanency. It all comes down to what you take in(calories) VS what you burn up during the day. A good rule of thumb for cutting weight is to consume somewhere between 10-15 calories per pound of body weight per day(It depends on how active you are throughout the day).

Hi everyone! My name is chelsea I'm from New York. I want to start losing weight and be healthy at the same time. I noticed that one of the big reasons why I haven't been able to lose it is because I don't have a good support system. I've been dating my boyfriend for about 3 years now and he always had a problem with girls losing weight. ( I know it sounds crazy) But I started speaking about losing weight to him a he totally flipped out on me and told me that I would be ugly if I did and he would break up with me for it. So after 3 years of living in fear that he would leave me I gathered up the courage to say that I was going to lose weght and he could leave me if he wanted to and that I didn't care. So now I'm here and I need some serious help losing the weight. Especially because my family doctor just diagnosed me with 1st degree heart failure. I'm scared and alone in this. I'm hoping I can lose weight this time around:)
