Hello, I am so happy to be here! I'm a 52 year old female who has about 40 lbs to lose but my goal right now is 20 lbs. I have put on alot of weight over the past few years due to just getting lazy (lack of exercise & overeating). I currently have high BP, and know I'm getting those little warning signs that I need to do something about my weight and physical condition. I am sick of how I feel and how I look and have made a commitment to myself to make a positive change in my health. I am looking forward to the encouragement I hope to receive here. Wish me luck! I would love to hear from any of you who have an encouraging word for me.

Welcome to ft and congratulations on your commitment to a healthier lifestyle. In your post you identified your problem (lack of exercise and overeating). You have also identified the solution. Through diet and exercise I have lowered my blood pressure, lowered my cholesterol, lost weight, and feel 20 years younger. Good Luck

Roses, what agamble said. In 8 months my cholesterol is down 26 points and my doc says if I shave another point or 2 off my BP, meds may become unnecessary. I'm not any better looking but I am more fit.
