Let me start off by introducing my self. My name is christine, i am a 33yr old female born with a physical disablity called Spina Bifida. I walk with crutches and braces. i am really looking for support in losing weight. it's become really hard for me to walk since i have put on some weight any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i am currently living in Budpest Hungary. thanks christine

Hello Christine and welcome to ft. Diet and exercise are key to weight loss. A proper diet yields the greatest results coupled with moderate physical activity. Search the message boards for information on diets. There are many suggestions that will get you started in the right direction. As for exercise, you should be able to work your upper body, arms, shoulders, chest. This based on the information you have given. As for your lower body, do you perform any type of physical therapy related to your disability? If so, your physical therapist should be able to give you direction in that area. Please fill in your profile and maybe someone here can help with more specifics. If you are willing and dedicated you can make make progress to meet your weight loss goals. Hope this helps. Hi christine, nice to see you moving ahead and creating a healthy lifestyle for yourself. LIke agamble suggested is the best route to take. Be sure to talk with your Doctor as well.
