hi everyone,
i'm new to this site. i'm julia, 18 years old and from the northeast. i'm really interested in fitness and exercise. i'm currently trying to recover from bulimia (had an eating disorder for four years) so i have to keep myself from getting too obsessive and also stop obsessing so much about calories burnt and taken in. i'm 5'3 and 102 pounds and I'm not looking to lose weight..but i didn't know what to sign up for as my "program." and would like to change that. for cardio i use machines like the elliptical, rowing machine etc and dance lessons. and i also do pilates. i would like to know more about weightlifting though. i want to use the weights at the gym but i'm embarassed because i'd be totally new to it and i also need some tips on what to do with the weights.
this seems like such an informative site.

For your last concern, trust me, if you go at the gym guys/girls there will help you. Don't be affraid of those big guys, they are so sweet :) !!!
