Just found out about FT and I'm keen to find reqularity and have nutrician play apart in my recovery. Yeh, I surf and at 49 it ain't that easy anymore, but I've built myself up again to take the punishment, but it still takes time to get better from those hard knocks ie knee torn medial and meniscus, not completely, but would like to here from others on ways to get back to jogging and maybe how long the pain hangs around?
Cool pic karihynn! Welcome to FT. I have a friend with a similar injury and he just recently had surgery done to fix it (actually the second surgery as it tore again) His Dr. is highly recommending that he doesn't run anymore-unfortunately for my friend, running is what he does (and play hockey) However, even with the unfortunate recommendation not to run, he has recovered pretty well and pretty quickly from the surgery. My suggestion would be to not get back to jogging, but maybe look into another form of exercise like swimming or cycling. Without surgerym I'm not sure the pain would ever go away.
