As I said I'm new here, and actually embarrassed typing this, even though I'm behind a computer monitor. Anyway, I quit smoking a few years back (lasted for 8 months) and almost immediately gained 60 lbs in less than 2 months. I have battled the bulge from 235 lbs down to my current 194 and am attemping to get down to around 165 lbs despite what the BMI charts say. At that weight when I was 18 getting out of Basic Training, I was a force to be reckoned with. I miss the old me. I want it back. Im just worried about getting though the beginning stages here. Anyone know anyone in the Central New York area doing this???
