Hiya Everyone,

Came across this wonderful community the other day and there's so much top notch information here! I am looking to gain some lean mass, and have started going to the gym a couple of months back when I felt my fitness was getting low. I guess I am thin at 160 lbs 5'8'', and had a body fat level of around 19% when I started, which has now come down to around 15, eventual target is <10%.

Plan of action - weight trainging - thrice a week - Chest & back, Arms & Shoulders, Legs, with an intense abs routine and 3 times cardio/week 20 mins at 140-150 heart beats pm, with a view to incorporating HIIT at least once a week.

On the cardio I am struggling a bit to keep my heart rate upto 140-150 - initially rest heart rate was 72, and 140 was easily achieved at level 7 on the bike, but now rest heart rate is around 60 and I need an intensity of 13-14 to get it to 140 - which is proving hard work.

Strength is increasing on the lifts, but still to see muscle gains although waist has decreased by an inch and chest has gone up an inch. This is partly due to nutrition, I have been on a 2250 cal diet with 120 g protein that I have now upped to 2600/175g.

Look forward to interacting with you all :)
