I belong to a gym they have a guaranteed 6 week fat loss program. I took a look at some sample meunu plans and couldn't believe what I saw. They recommend 10% protein 60-65% carbs and the rest fats. I looked over a days intake and it definitely looked below 1200 calories.
No wonder they guarantee the program with excercise and this diet one would surely loose weight. But would you also loose a lot of muscle and would this weight stay off once you return to normal eating?
You answered your own question. Yes you would lose muscle or hinder your muscle building process. The weight would definately come back.
1200 calories is NOT enough for any type of eating regimen while training or not.
All kinds of scams out there.
