Hi there! I am a 20 year old female who is looking for some tips on following a high protein diet. I am currently taking hydroxycuts twice a day, and am just wondering what type of diet should accompany it. I know nothing of meal replacements, shakes, bars, etc. any feedback would be grand. Thanks!

I usually have a whey protein shake after my morning workout as my 1st meal and then usually will have some tuna or chicken later in the day for my third meal to give me my protein, if you go for a protein type drink go for whey protein ti is the best for you from what I understand and the reading I have done.

If you're taking hyrdroxcut twice a day, then I'll assume that you're trying to loose weight. I do the same thing as Nathan27... I have a protein shake after my workout, and then try to eat chicken, fish, beef throughout the day. I personally try to stay away from meal replacements, and the bars... My advice is to try and get most of your calories from real food.
Good sources of protein are:
Eggs Whites (you can buy eggbeaters that are only egg whites)
Chicken
Tuna
Lean Ground Beef
Beer (just kidding)
And the list could go on for miles. I usually try to consume 6-8 oz of meat per meal (about the size of the palm of your hand).
If you're trying to follow the true high protein-low carb diet, then check out the Atkins diet. But before you start any diet, do your research!
And don't forget to drink lots of water...

The sources of protein mentioned are good, make sure you supply needed carbs. Carbs are not the enemy here, it is the type of carbs and the timing of them. Make them fibroous in nature, and have a couple servings also of healthy fats..(EFA's). A good ratio for fat loss is 50/20/30, P/C/F. Spread out in 5-6 meals per day. Make most of your heavier carbs first thing in the morning when glucose uptake is optimal. A good time for oatmeal, etc. Then as the day goes on, switch over to the fibrous veggie types, with your EFA's mostly toward the end of the day without any starchy or complex carbs.
-------------- As far as genetics go, the skies the limit. You are limited only by your mental perception of it.
