I have been doing less cardio and more weights to try and put more lean muscle on. My upper body body is getting crazy toned but my lower body is getting bigger. Not fat but muscle. I am trying to tone, not bulk. My diet is good now that I researched this wesite. Any suggestions?

What kind of reps/weight are you using? You may be going to heavy.

What kind of leg exercises are you doing? Some of those exercises will blow you up quick. Actually I have no idea what I am talking about, your probably shouldnt listen to me! I confuse myself.

Ok, like I said I am not an expert, but I will tell you those exercises are going to blow your legs up. I know that for a fact. You might want to cool out with the squats and presses. I hope someone else can add to your question, but I believe I am correct.

Hec I don't wanna contradict here, but Leitita, lift heavy. Do your squats, presses, extensions etc. If you have just started lifting, the muscle is building under the fat and making the parts appear bigger. As you gain muscle and lose fat, this will reverse. My wife and went through the same thing. Now she is worried about loose skin around her thighs. Unless you have a freaky body females don't pump up like men. Stay the coarse.

nope. I have always been very skinny. I had problems gaining weight but not any longer. I just want to be really toned and not be skinny without muscle. unless when I was calipered they did it wrong, but it was done by the health center (military)

Thats better than being in the Coast Guard. You have to be at least 6 feet tall there so you can walk to shore if the ship goes down. LOL Don't swallow your gum with all this hissing.

Typical Marine Corps/Navy brotherhood. Me (Marine) go in and tear stuff up (bad advice), Charlie (Navy) comes in and bails me out (good advice). What a team!!
