theres seems to be no shortage of football training advice, but what about the good old game of hockey? since running is a lot different from skating and iv been questioning the carry over from lifting weights to playing hockey, if any of this is actualy going to improve my game. Hope fully going into Jr.B at the ripe old age of 16 i would be amoungst the youngest in the leage that is full off goons so being weak is out of the question. but will powerlifting improve ones game any?

yes it will definitly help. it depends on your position. i am a goalie and stong legs help tremendously. what position do you play and what team.

most sports generate strength/power at the hips/back...hockey is no exception....deadlifts/squats will definitely help...
