Hello everybody. I would like get some help from you guys so I can accomplish my goal. I have read and read several books about weight lost and muscle toning. I want to get a lot of motivation so I can finish what I once tried to start.
I weight 225 Lb and I’m 6.3. My problem is that I have belly and I want to get rid of it. I have read BFL but I don’t see a lot of motivation in it (maybe I’m wrong) I also have EFL and I try to follow the hi-protein diet. I don’t take supplements. I need some motivation but I don’t know how to do it. I don’t know when to exercise. I can do it early morning or late in the afternoon. What would be the best way to lost weigh? I have created a schedule for exercises as stated by Bill Phillips. I want to loose belly and get muscle. Could you please help me? Thank you so much. |

I read a Charles Poliquin study about the most effective time to weight lift being between 4-8pm for most individuals. However, I personally feel that the most effective time to workout is the time that YOU WILL workout.
The most effective way to lose weight is to begin by weightlifting, and clean up your diet. Try one of the freetrainers plans. what does your current plan look like, and we can help you with it? welcome to ft! |

Basically my plan is to work out in the morning (BFL schedule) at around 5 to 6 am, an also, my wife likes to go to the pool in the afternoon, so I don’t think that’ll affect me. Regarding my eating habits, I’ve been doing the 3 meals a day with little “snacks” in between (a protein shake, some veggies, what else?) I need to be point to the right direction. How much food should I eat? What is a portion? What food should I eat to decrease weight? I don’t eat junk food at all. Don’t like it. Is running for 20 minutes every other day, when I’m not doing weight, good enough?
Thank you! |

testosterone is highest in the morning so that's probably best time to exercise...just warm up a bit longer as body temperature is lowest....it's somewhat of an inverse relationship....
motivation? you can find it in a million things...it's different for everyone....some people do it for themselves...others do it for their loved ones...others do it out of competitive fire....it varies.... sit down and write down 10 things that matter most to you in your life...and really take time to reflect upon this...don't just bs this...really give it some thought...then after you finish ....under each item write how exercise will help you improve each of those things...then after you finish....write down specific things you're willing to change about your diet, exercise, thought process, etc...to accomplish them....then rank each item in terms of difficulty of accomplishing/ improving...then work from easiest to most difficult....... generally you'll need to do heavy whole body compound exercises....and eat sound nutritional diet while cutting calories slightly....and step up cardio according to how quickly you want to lose the weight.... | |

Lots of good suggestions... you have all of the tools at hand (BFL, EFL) just start and be consistent, results will help you to be motivated but it takes time!
Also - read some of the success stories in the books you have, read the success stories here in the FAQs section, read the motivational posts (look up motivational post in fit buddy), figure out what gets you fired up and use that fire! -------------- Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think. Thank you so much for your help. I don't know if it's my imagination, but I've lost about 3 lb in about a week and a half... I am doing cardio almost every day. I am doing weight lifting every other day really early in the morning (between 5 and 6am) Sometimes I run the same day in the afternoon for about 30 min or I go to the pool and swim for other 30 min. am I doing too much? what is a good diet plan for you guys?
Thanks a lot! |
