I workout about an hour and a half monday-friday one week, and then i workout tuesday-friday
the second week. I also workout at the gym for 2-3 hours on sundays. I do cardio (elliptical, bike, and the stepper
and sometimes the treadmill), i then proceed to use the weight machines (leg press, squats, leg and arm curls
and i also do crunchies. I've maintained this workout for 3yrs, varying from time to time.

My question is can a person over work themselves working out and what might be a few signs?

It sounds like overtraining to me. How are your results? Are you continuing to see progress? I think a one-hour workout with weights 4-5 times a week with cardio following or on separate days is the norm. Two to three hours seems like too much and doing legs after cardio I think is a no-no. Even doing cardio after legs is usually overkill. Muscles need time to rest to repair themselves. The first sign of overtraining would be if you are working your butt off and getting nowhere. Does your nutrition program support all this exercise?

My results have been great. I've lost over 100lbs,
but it seems like i'm at a stand still. Thanks for the advice
concerning working the legs after cardio. I drink myoplex
before and after my workout and that seems to work.

Wait, so you're only getting 1 or 2 days of rest a week. THat sounds like overtraining to me. If you haven't gotten results for a while I suggest you take a week off to let your body recover then start training again.

If you feel strong and like the results? -Then I would not say this is overtraining.
Maybe you think you are not getting anywhere, but remember that you are also maintaining the level of fitness that you have worked so hard to reach.
Perhaps your just getting a little burnt-out with the same old work-outs.

When I overtrain I can feel it in my chest..... This annoying feeling one has just before getting sick. The body feels weaker and trying desperately to recover.
I train every single day...... and that's cardio, weight training, classes etc AND when I'm not training I'll still continue to jump, run and move around....
It's okey, I got a good nutrition and I'm use to it BUT of course it can happens that I overtrain (often if I train for too long in one row!!)
Try to feel your body. Overtraining will just push you a step behind.
