Hi,
I am new to weight lifting. I am a 45 year old female. I am 5'5 and started at 178. After 7 weeks I am down to 166. I am about to finish the begining 8 week program. I noticed that the intermediate program as less reps in it. Should I stick with the begining program and more reps? I want to keep loosing weight and getting definition and not bulk up. I want to get to 140. I am a stout lady and hold weight well if there is such a thing. I run on the treadmill 6 days a week and I am on the ab program too.. I would very much appreciate help in this...Thanks

Hello <smile>
I would go with the intermediate to test...I'm not an expert though. I can't tell you how your body will react to the difference in reps.....Good luck though no matter what you decide :o)

If this program works for you (and it seems it does), then stick to it. It seems like you are making great progress with the program you are doing.

If it's not broke don't fix it, so what I am really trying to say is, if it is working for you now, stay with the program.

I have been through 2 cycles of beginner level training, and I still set my experience level on beginner. Works for me. I hope that helps. Congratulations on your progress!
