I understand that this is different for each person but on average, how long should it take to start seeing visual results of a workout?

I have only been at it for 2 weeks now and can feel the changes just can't see any thus far. I took before pictures and wil take after pictures once the 8 week course is done but will I see a difference in that time frame? I'm keeping fairly religious about this 45mins/day 3days/week

How's your diet? You should see results in 8 weeks, but if your diet is really good than the results will be even better. What exactly are you doing? 45 minutes 3x a week seems a tad short unless you are just strength training or just doing cardio and nothing else.

I follow the beginners program here.

push ups 15,15,12,10
Side Laterals 15,15,12,10
Chins Between Chairs 15,15,12,10
Can Curls 15,15,12,10
Dips Behind the Back 15,15,12,10
Crunches 15,15,12,10
Home Squats 15,15,12,10
Calf Raises 15,15,12,10

I'm not so sure if my diet is great or not. I would guess average. I eat 4 small meals a day usually starting with an egg sandwich on brown toast. I don't count my carbs or anything but I do eat healthy enough. It gets a little tricky though because I don't eat red meat.

I really don't snack thought the day either. I don't know Maybe I'll see something in the 8 week span maybe I won't. It would be a little depressing if I didn't see anything after that time span though.

So, I have completed 4 weeks of exercises following the above routine and I did my 1 month weigh in and comparative photos. Apparently I weigh exactly the same amount and look fatter.

Now I'm a little confused by this. Is mussel not heavier then fat? So to weigh the same should I not look smaller? What's the deal?

it took you 23 years to look the way you do. give it more than a month to see some major changes. Plex is right to ask about your diet. It's up to you to learn to eat correctly as well as exercise properly. Do a little reading here on diet. Stick with it. Chances are you've added some muscle and it's pushing out the overlying fat a bit. That's why you look the same. Over the next few months, pay attention to how your pants fit. When they loosen up, and they will, you'll see the progress. Don't weigh. Measure. Good luck.

I would have a million dollars now if only I had only followed CNBCs advice...and I had started with a hundred million dollars.
