You give no profile, so I can only assume by your current weight that you are female? I don't think any guy at 5''7" and 135 would consider losing weight. Your carbs should come from low glycemic, whole foods for the majority of the day. Examples are sweet potatoes, brown rice, bagged beans, and almost all green veggies and salad greens and tomatoes. Some fibrous and thermogenic fruits are strawberries, blueberries, peaches. The idea is to keep blood sugars steady throughout the day, thus keeping down insulin surges. Insulin, though highly anabolic, is also an enemy at the wrong times. It is your storage hormone.
