how many days a week should i workout? im currently going at it 5 days a week. talked with a guy at GNC who is a power lifter. he said your body cant recover working out that many days a week. he said 3 is the most i should be doing. thanks yall.

Welcome to ft, 2thpick! Have you already signed up for an ft program? If not, you should. You can work out 5 days a week (I do and so do most others). It really depends on how you work out and if you have the time to work out 5 days per week.

Actually the needed recovery time is very individually. It all depends on you, your rest and diet.
Try to feel your way.

Maybe what he was getting at is that you shouldn't workout each muscle group 5 days a week, that's way too much for a full body routine. If you're doing properly designed split routines though, 5, even 6 days a week is fine.
