i'm just starting to workout again after a long lay off. how much rest do i need between workouts? i'm currently doing chest,bis,tris twice and shoulders,back twice with cardio twice is this too much or not enough

for strength training, i usually take a full day off between workouts, thereby hitting a body part directly every 5-7 days.
