Im taking 10 g of creatine a day, been taking it for about 2 months now and no rael gains happening :( im GUESSING the problem is because im drinking very little water, so, my question is how much water should i be drinking every day? My protein intake is also at about 50% of what it should be, just want to know how much water i need, thanks.

PS: If it matters, im taking...

YOU PRETTY MUCH ANSWERED YOUR OWN QUESTION....If you are not getting enough protein and drinking very little water (2 MAJOR COMPONENTS OF MUSCLE), you are not going to make any gains no matter what you take unless it is illegal. Normally you would drink 8-10 glasses of water per day, minimum. Because you are taking creatine you actually want to consume more than that, say maybe 12-14 cups or more. I don't know what your training routine is but protein intake is vital for any muscle gains or maintenence. If you up the protein and water, and mix that with a creatine CYCLE (4 weeks on, 1 week off...because you don't want to continuously take it for liver and kidney function purposes), you will probably start to see the difference. If you want to go into more depth, talk to BBFIT1...he the man!

Also, 10 Grams of Creatine is more than you need. Also, what are you taking your creatine with? Anything, I mean anything citris, or cafinated will destroy the creating. You can drink grape juice and apple juice, but nothing like soda, orange or grapefruit juice. The Acids in the citrus will breakdown the Creatine before it even has a chance to work. Also, you should do 1/1.5 grams of protine to every pound of weight you have. Same with Water. Although, you'll be peeing alot. I weight about 235 but only drink about 1-1.5 gallons of water a day. Use a sport cup and carry it with you. Luckily I work at a desk with a water purifier near by. Also, If your creating is too gritty, mix it with a protine shake. I was using Slim fast (Which isn't very good) but atleast it took away the grittyness.

Hold up!!! Before you say that taking 10 grams of creatine is too much, please know the facts on creatine intake and cycling. 10 grams is optimal for weight training assuming that kandykid is over 150 lbs. Even if he isn't, as long as he cycles the creatine, his body will use the creatine.

I take my creatine with water, nothing else. I take my whey with juice (its all chunky though cause it doesnt mix well with water/juice :(...)

I take my creatine for a month, then stop for a week-10 days, then go on it again. Yes, i weigh apx 160 lbs. Ive increased my protein intake 40 grams per day, which gets me up to about 110-120 gr/pd.

As for the water, i KNOW i should drink more, problem is, im too lazy to boil it then wait for it to cool and drink it. (i have 0 time on my hands, working 5 days a week, school 6(yes 6) days a week and gym 5 days a week (no car either) Its hard to even find time to post on this kickass site :P

Anyways, thanks for the help, ill try to increase my water intake, maybe i can convince my mother (yes, i still live with my mother, im 19...) to order those water jug thingies from those water companies.
thanks again,

Adrian

Actually 10g of creatine is optimal for me I take 5g prior to my workout and 5g post workout. Water for creatine there are alot of brands out there that mix easily with water. Optimum Nutrition creapure mixes easliy and has a powdery texture as opposed to a gritty texture. Up your protein and make sure you are getting all you can out of your workouts. Good luck
