I was doing crunches everyday about 150 then this guy i know a body builder told me to do it every other day and put weights on my stomach when i do it.. i have been doing this .. i was just wondering... is this right? or should i go back to everyday

That is correct... the abs are just like any other muscle... you need to rest them... that's when a muscle grows, when it rests... adding weights gives it more of a challenge...

I usually have my abs workout 2 - 3 a week, not everyday...

You can work abs everyday, just do different exercises.
