Hi i am a serious runner and cover around 9 miles per run three times a week, however i also go to the gym to keep my upper body in sync with my legs. what i would like to know is how do i achive definition and a tonned upper body, at the moment most of my upper body trainng is done on machines, any help would be gratefull.

And don't forget, you need to eat for what you are trying to achieve.

Exactly, eating is the key. You might have the muscle and no definition because it is covered with a lyer of fat. Perhaps you have to pay more attention to what you are eating like BB1fit said.
