Last night, during the alias season finale i ate quite a few chips with dip, before going to bed i noticed my gut was noticeably bigger, horrified, I promptly went to bed, next morning (today) when I woke up, it wasn't as big anymore.
1- How is this ossible to gain/lose so fast?
2- I live at home and can't buy my own food, my family doesn't eat rather healthy, so I've just been eating bread and fruits/vegetables and drinking v8, but only when my stomach rumbles for 10+ minutes, I'm not sure this is healthy, so any advice?

I'm sure if you ask your parents if they mind buying you "healthier foods" they will be willing. Most parents are happy if one of their children are trying to be healthy. If they don't, go grocery shopping with them and make sure they buy meats, if they're getting milk recommend skim milk, if they're buying bread recommend whole wheat. Just things like that, help them pick out the food that they eat. If you need help with it go to bb1fit's post of "grocery list for bodybuilders", it's a very good post with all the good healthy foods. Also if you don't drink water, drink a gallon of water a day, many people I know have lost weight from dropping soft drinks and just drinking water.

From what I read, it's impossible to gain or lose 1 lb. of fat over night. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror before you ate and then after? Have you ever seen your belly bulge out? It's just that your stomach is stretched and filled with food and drinks that it bulges out like that. It is not a good idea to eat chips and dip especially right before going to bed. If you continue to do this, chances are that the next morning that your belly won't be going down anymore. So the answer to your first question is that it is not possible to gain and lose fat that fast.

What you saw was, as DX mentioned, just your stomach filled with food. Fat/Energy distribution doesn't work that quick. Your body broke down those chips and dip and took what it needed for energy (not much since you were sleeping) and stored some and then you excreted the rest the next day.
I'm a parent (kids are younger though at 8 and 4) and I would say that if my son's asked me to buy healthier foods for them I would do so willing...despite the cost. So let them know...they should understand.

Try to stay away from the processed meats, many of them are hight in fat. Stick with Chicken, Turkey, Tuna, etc

IMW...excessive carbs and proteins can turn to fat as well, not at easily as Fat itself. But if you eat too much of anything and you become inactive then your body can store what it needs for energy to be used at a later date...that storage unit is called Fat cells.

A "packet" of hotdogs has 12g of fat?
I think some of the larger "smokie-style" dogs have more than 12g of fat per weiner!
Stay away from the nasty processed stuff! I love hot dogs but don't eat them any more. I think the average "all beef" dogs are about 7.5g of fat per weiner (just checked the package my hubby has in the freezer!)
As DX and stump mentioned, the puffy belly is just a result of having too much food in it at one time.
