Hello everyone, My name is Cortney and Im an 18 year old college student living in Ontario.I am 5'3 and around 120lb's. Unfortunatly due to my schedule I only have time to work out a minimum of 3 days a week, but I plan to stick to he amazing program givin to me by this site.I have just reccently stumbled upon this wonderful place and I have to say... Im quite impressed that it is free!

My fitness goal is to trim the extra uneeded fat off my thighs and tone the muscles .. well everywhere :)

I would love to hear from others with or around the same goals as Im reaching for. I hope to be an active member and in the future even have an upgraded account. I feel I have alot to offer a site like this as I am quite supportive.

thanks for taking the time to read my intro, take care everyone and the best of luck with your fitness goals!

Hi Courtney! Welcome to FT! Ah college. I remember those days. Unfortunately, I also remember the quality of the food we were served in the dining commons... I don't know what your meal options are at your school, but I would strongly recommmend that you go to the diet and nutrition board, print off the grocery list for clean/nutritious eating, and then compare your food options to the list. If it's on the grocery list, eat it an lots of it. If it's not on the list, do your best NOT to eat it. Bagels, sadly, are not on the list. Nor is white pasta. You might not be able to stick to only eating the good stuff, but the more you do, the easier it will be for you to achieve your goal with your limited workout schedule.

Lots of people somehow think that if they workout out like demons they'll get the results they want, and I suppose that it is possible to do. You'll just have to nearly kill yourself/live at the gym for a very long time to do it. Clean eating can dramatically speed progression!

Good luck, and feel free to post here anytime you want to share an accomplishment or vent a frustration or confess a slip. FT is a great support center.

Welcome to FT fellow Canuck! I read your profile and it looks like getting your diet back on track will be one of your challenging goals. As you know, skipping meals will not help your progress. Work youself up to 3 meals per day and then try and fit in an additional 2 healthy snacks in between. I think the exercise plan you downloaded here will give you great results, but it has to be supported by sound nutrition! Good luck:)

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

Thank you guys, I already feel very welcomed here. I'm doing alot better than I was a month ago about he whole meal thing. I will still have to make myself eat, but it is comming much more naturaly.Hopefully I will be at the 3 meals a day mark in a couple of weeks :P

Iv'e noticed that working/exercising really does make a differance in my hunger scale.

As for working out like a demon, I can barely finish the exercises that I have downloaded:big_smile:
(Im still very new at losing weight the healthy way)

Thanks again guys *hugs all*

Brightest Blessings Wiccanblaze,

Another Ontario Wiccan, how wonderful! And it seems like we have the pretty much the same goals as well. I'm brand new here too, so let me know if you find anything that works really well for you. I'm open to all options! Keep it up, sister! :)
