I changed up my workout plan and diet recently, with a goal of getting lean and defined. Since I changed it 2 weeks ago, I have dropped 4 pounds and people comment that I do, in fact, look more "lean". My question is to someone out there...could you please take a look at my daily diet and tell me if I'm doing anything right or wrong?
Here it is:
Breakfast (7:30a): 1 cup of coffee with fat free creamer, scrambled eggs whites with red peppers, equal to 4 eggs
Snack (10a): protien shake
Lunch (12:30p): 2 chicken breats, 1 serving mixed veggies, 1 serving wheat rice
Snack (3:00p): another protein shake OR a Kashi Go Lean bar
WORKOUT (4-6p)
Dinner (7p): 2 chicken breats, 1 serving mixed veggies OR wheat pasta with veggies
Snack (9p): only sometimes: fat free sugar free jello
I'm feeling fine, and rarely get hungry, and I'm seeing results....but am i doing it right? i would appreciate any response. thanks.

Don't see any EFA's. Looks ok other than that.

Maybe just add some good fats like natural peanut butter, walnuts or flax oil.

what are EFA's?
I do munch on unsalted peanuts now and then....
Do you think I should be drinking 2 protein shakes a day? I do sometimes, but I'm not consistent with it.

EFA's(Essential Fatty Acids). The best and most useful combination(Omega 3, 6, 9) of them can be found in flax oil. Other sources are cold water fish(tuna, salmon), legumes(walnuts), even fish oil capsules. Here's a little info I got from bb1 a while back that will help best explain:
To help you get the most out of flaxseed oil try to limit or eliminate refined oils from your diet. This includes hydrogenated oils. Remember, these oils are metabolized in the same pathways as the natural oils and block their functions. Second, EFA's require several nutrients to be metabolized correctly. A good multivitamin and mineral supplement is recommended. Vitamins A, C, E, B-2, B-3, B-6, Pantothenic acid, B-12, biotin, and minerals calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulfur, and zinc are all involved in EFA metabolism. Improved fat and oil nutrition can be of great benefit to us all. There are several flaxseed oils on the market which can be found in the refrigerated section of your health food store.
