I am a 21 year old female and all I want is to lose weight and tone up. Are these workouts made for that. I put in my Fitness plan that thats what i wanted. I just don't want to get big like a man. I just want to tone like I said before. Does anyone know? Please write back:dumbbell:

:)
You won't get big unless you train for years specifically to look like that. Just follow the routine, train hard, eat right, and good things will come...

No problem. It's probably the most common misconception with females beginning a weight training program.
Good luck to you. Keep us posted on your progress.

look in the female forum - the posts at the top that have red pins next to them (they 'stick' to the top, so they are called stickies) please give them a read through. I find it helps to print them out.

This is such a huge misconception and I love it.
Guys are in the gym lifting heavy weights and getting stronger and almost force feeding themselves to make gains agonizingly slow at times and girls are worrried about "accidentally" getting big.
I'm not making fun of you, but if you think of it, it is funny.
I hope looking at it in that light makes you feel more comfortable...
and building muscle helps raise your metabolic rate, which means you burn more fat even when resting.
