Do you know how much money I have spent on food during my lifetime to obtain this belly? Do you know how much time and energy I had to put forth to get this big?

Just thinking of what it might be like if I lost weight and my belly makes me cringe:

I would have more energy and would probably want to do more things than I have time for.

I might begin to look attractive and have other people look at me with those "Wanting Eyes" and even worse, I might have to spend money on a date!

I might be more self confident and begin thinking that I can do anything in my life.

I would have to hear all of those compliments all the time..."You look so good." "WOW! You REALLY lost weight."

My friends and/or relatives won't be able to tell me every year at social events like Thanksgiving or Labor Day, "My gosh, look how fat you are getting."

I might start eating healthy since if I start to lose weight, I will want to keep it off.

I won't have as much time as I do now to socialize with my doctor.

I will have to buy spearmint gum instead of eating TUMS or ROLAIDS after my meals since exercising will help get rid of my acid reflux.

I won't get to go on those blood pressure machines at drug stores as much since I won't be as concerned with it since exercise lowers blood pressure.

I will have to play with the kids more since I will have more energy.

I will have to buy new clothes that fit my new body.

I might start spending my money on those fitness magazines since I will be more motivated to learning more about fitness and exercise.

I might spend more time on that silly website, "FREETRAINERS.COM" and get advice and encouragement from other people.

ALL OF THIS WAS SAID IN SARCASM!!! Whatever your reasons to lose weight and get in shape are, they are legitimate! It doesn't matter what they are. Don't ever give in to the above lame excuses.

All of my exercising is starting to pay off. I can really see and mostly FEEL a difference but I know I have a long ways to go until I achieve my goals. I really want to make fitness, proper diet and exercise a permenant part of my life until I am in my ninety's or so. Good luck.
