I've always had a slow metabolism, but when I could spend two to three hours in the gym every day, the weight stayed off. I loved indulging myself with all that time working out and it showed. Then, I became a parent and all that disposable time went bye-bye. I've tried many times in the past twelve years to work out at home, but it's always been too easy to quit. This year is going to be different. I have a twelve year old daughter who is also signing up with Free Trainers. We will succeed together. Any words of wisdom will be welcomed.

There are many advantages to working out at home. There are some disadvantages as well and you touched on it. That of motivation. I myself workout at home and have had to seek motivation where I could get it. This site has been invaluable to me in this regard. Make ft an important part of your fitness regimen and you will be amazed at the support you will receive. Good Luck

Welcome aboard! I'm sure you'll hear it more than once here - but remember that healthy includes the kitchen! Especially when you have a teen along with ya! That should make it easier to do good food in the house since they usually eat the worst! ;-)
Good luck - and congrats on taking the first step and having someone along with you to hold you accountable!!
