Hello,
I've been lifting for about 6 months now, and I've gained about 10 pounds, but I'm afraid it might all be in fat. I don't feel like I'm that much stronger, and I don't know when I should start cutting. I'm new to this. My body looks kinda chubby so I'm wondering how do you know when to start cutting, and what do I do for it?
Thanks.

you will gain muscle and fat while bulking up no way around it. if you have been lifting hard than its not all fat. what are your gains? remember that muscle weighs more than fat and to lift heavy if you want to make serious gains. if you don't think you have made gains maybe you should change your workout i recently changed my workout and have been seeing more results. don't start cutting until you have all the muscle you want. don't cut after 6 months i wouldn't if you have to add in some cardio.

You have skinny kid syndrome. I've had it all my life. Skinny kids are scared of getting fat, and putting on fat, and losing their abs. But if you want to get bigger and stronger and gain more muscle then it is something that you will have to deal with.
Gain another 10 pounds and then MAYBE start to think about it, the first 10 pounds could be some fat, some muscle, some water. If you cut you'll be right back to where you started and have wasted all that time. Keep the gaining up for a while.
