Hi everybody, the most exciting thing has happened and I want to share it with all of you. I was invited to be on another forum (still not as good as this one) and I accepted because it was geared toward female bodybuilding. It is Lori Victoria Braun's femalemuscle site. Anyway, the thing that is so exciting is that I made a post that went like this:
Subject: I can be a bodybuilder In December of 1999 I weighed in at 250lbs and to make a long story short I am now at 129lb and looking to lose more so that I may compete with my husband by next year. I train hard, 5x aweek with my husband. I have only been training this way for 1 1/2 years. In 99 I found out I was a diabetic and got down to 167 and I met my husband who has helped me to get where I am today. Any suggestions from anyone who is bodybuiding would be great and very helpful to me. One other thing I have been med free for about 6 months and I am looking for a changeup in my program. I am going to start the ab program I found on this site and I am starting a concentration program for my glutes due to a little flab problem from all the excess weight from before. You can see my pics in the photo's section if that would help, they are under Sandy. Thanks in advance for anyone who has any suggestions for me. No big deal right! Well the pics I posted are the same ones that I have on this site. I'm sorry, I can hardly contain myself, I recieved an e-mail last week that said they were going to feature me in their newsletter. I got excited but didn't hear anymore till today and next week I will be the featured Homegrown woman for newsletter that is going to be out next week. They are also going to feature me in the homegrown gallery. This is so exciting for me and gives me more motivation to keep going so that I can be on stage next year right next to Ron. Thanks for letting me share, you guys are my favorite forum and always will be. -------------- I will lift my own weight someday!!!!! THE NATURAL WAY IS THE ONLY TRUE PATH TO SUCCESS, PRIDE, JOY, HAPPINESS, LONG TERM FULFILLMENT AND SELF-ESTEEM! |

Sandy, you always raise the bar us in the FT community. Now you're setting out and motivating even more people! Next, you'll be on a Wheaties box and land an advertising deal with some spandex workout gear company! Don't you forget your FT buds!
I think a celebration is in order! Hey, I'll have a cookout! Everyone's invited. Bring a covered dish, or a fruit salad... or a shovel... I hope all this fame doesn't mean that you've "forgotten" how to shovel with the "little poeple". LOL TSMD |

Congrats. I am very impressed with your story. I read your profile. You did the 180 degree turn. I love the story about your second chance at love with your present man. All in all I find you very inspiring. You go...

I know I am pretty proud of her! I could show her the way, give her the roadmap so to speak, but she is the one who acutally had to do it! This is not only talking the talk, but walking the walk. It can be done, anyone can get healthy. She is a prime example. Way to go Sandy!-------------- As far as genetics go, the skies the limit. You are limited only by your mental perception of it. Ron |
